Debtor Electronic Bankruptcy Noticing (DeBN)

Requirements Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Request Form

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan now offers debtors the opportunity to request receipt of court notices and orders via email, instead of U.S. mail, through a program called Debtor Electronic Bankruptcy Noticing (DeBN). Participation in the DeBN is optional.

The benefits of DeBN include:

  • You will receive notices the same day they are filed by the court.
  • You will be able to access your notices anywhere you have internet access.
  • You will be able to store your notices on your computer.

Note: Only the court is authorized to send notices to the debtor through the DeBN program.
